and donald trump is on the attack once again. on twitter... the billionaire claims that ted cruz: "stole" iowa by mailing voter-violation fliers, and implying ben carson was dropping out. trump accuses cruz of "fraud" and calls for a "new election," "well, listen it is no surprise that donald is throwing yet another temper tantrum or if you like he had another trumper tantrum. it seems his reaction to everything is to throw a fit, to engage in insults." on the democratic side, polls show bernie sanders leading hillary clinton by double digits in new hampshire. clinton admits-- winning in the sanders' territory will be tough.. "the argument is look you are behind here. i am.. you are in the opponents backyard.. new hampshire always favors neighbors. // i have to tell you i just could not ever skip new hampshire.

despite his razor-thin loss to clinton in iowa... sanders raised nearly 3-million dollars in the 24 hours, after the iowa caucuses. ### the republican presidential field continues to narrow. this morning kentucky senator rand paul announced the suspention of his campaign. paul's attention now turns to his senate campaign. today the senator spoke with kolo 8 news now washington correspondent peter zampa. senator paul finished ahead of six other candidates in iowa, but he tells us there just wasn't enough momentum to keep pushing towards the white house. senator rand paul: if i thought i could win i'd still be in. but i don't want to do it just to do it. i really wanted to do it not only to spread the message but to win. last year, senator paul asked the kentucky gop to switch from a primary to a presidential caucus, so he could appear on the ballot as a senator and in the caucus as a

breaking tonight... the i-r-s says it has stopped accepting electronically filed tax returns because of problems with some of its computer systems. the outage could affect refunds... but the agency says it doesn't anticipate quote... "major disruptions." today, the i-r-s experienced what it is calling a "hardware failure." the e-file system and the "where's my refund" service-- are among the affected areas. the i-r-s says some systems will remain out of service, at least until tomorrow. ### new details are emerging about a murder investigation in south lake tahoe. police have released these sketches of the suspects in the saturday shooting at beverly lodge. investigators say these two men robbed the victims during a drug deal... killing one. one suspect is described as a black man... about six-foot- three and 200 pounds with dreadlocks. the other suspect is a

about five-eight and 170 pounds with curly hair. police say the suspects may have been driving a tan chrysler concorde similar to the one pictured here. if you know anything... call south lake tahoe police.### president obama spoke at a baltimore mosque today, his first visit as president to an american mosque. his remarks had special resonance with muslims across the country, including here in reno. kolo 8 news now's ed pearce spoke with a local muslim leader. ed, the president addressed this issue of bias against muslims, that must have been welcome news to local muslims. it was and given recent incidents and the tenor of current political debate it was appreciated, though there was a wish that it had come sooner. 00-:25 :25-:32 :32-1:42 the president met with muslim-american leaders from around the country at the islamic society of baltimore, then following the meeting he spoke at the society's mos que telling them an attack on one faith is an attack on all. mr. obama has appeared at mosques elsewhere and has made similar remarks on other occasions, but yhis was his first visit to an american mosque, a

elfass: "as a muslim i felt honored and humbled that the president of the united states actually went to a mosque." the president's remarks come at a time when the presidential campaign and the shooting incident in southern california have raised fears of a backlash against american muslims. obama: "recently we've heard inexcuseable political rhetoric against muslim americans that has no place in our country." elfass: "as an american i'm proud of our president who stood with a small group, muslim americans, who are facing a lot of prejudice."> but it was the president's reference to young muslim americans fearing they have no place in our society that dr. elfass said would have special meaning for his community. obama: "the notion that they would be filled with doubt, questioning their place in this great country of ours when they've got enough to worry about. it's hard enough being a teenager already. that's not who we are."

'are we second class citizens?' and i'm going to repeat this and show them that it's not me saying it anymore, the president of the country saying it." and he expects others in his community to be doing the same. dr. elfass says he would have wished the president would have made this visit to a mosque earlier. it came late, he said, but at least it came. other observers noted that a visit earlier in his presidency might only feed conspiracy theories that mr. obama, a christian, was secretly a muslim. ed pearce kolo 8 news now. carson city sheriff's deputies have one man in custody after a deadly hit and run. 37-year-old juan pablo rios is charged with failing to stop at the scene of a crash involving injury or death. detectives say rios hit gustova garcia-valdes at the intersection of highway 50 and brown street last wednesday. police say rios told a

leading them to his door. garcia-valdes laster died at the hosptial. ### a new nevada hit-and- run law-- is being used on drivers who leave the scene of a crash, when there are injuries. prior to october, hit- and-run drivers who left the scene, might only face a misdemeanor. that crime is now a felony, if there are injuries or death. kolo 8 news now terri russell shows us the latest case-- where the suspect is still at large. in the early morning hours of january 30th, reno police say a 55 year old year old man was legally crossing the street at 4th street and spokane when a pickup truck without its lights on, hit the man and left the crash. the 55 year old was pronounced dead on the scene. officer tim broadway/reno police department: we are still looking for that person. we have a very vague description of that vehicle, full sized pickup light in color. speaking with the accident investigators we do believe that there will be some minor damage to the right front and even right passenger side view mirror on that vehicle. russell: once you locate that

charges? they absolutely will. on october 31st a bicyclist was injured in a hit and run accident at virginia street and beacon. while reno police located the vehicle, which was reported stolen 15 minutes after the accident, they are still looking for the driver. that person too will be charged under the new law with felony hit and run. we don't know if the law will change the attitudes of drivers-- knowing a felony charge is in the making if they cause death or injury and leave the scene--but that may ultimately not be the point. instead law enforcement hopes drivers just do the right and responsible thing. tim broadway: it is not worth your livlihood and your freedom if you leave the scene of an accident. own up. it gives closure to families when we can identify all the people involved in the accident, and get their side of the story as well.. broadway says the new law's motto: "don't run call nine-11. in reno terri russell kolo 8

tell congress. who didn't make the trip? governor rick snyder and emergency manager darnell earley. earley ignored a subpeona monday night. congressman jason chaffetz says he's going to utilize the federal marshalls to bring him to testify. "if they want to be more transparent they have to be more than just willing to say the things they want to say they have to answer the questions the other people have." while the hearing was going on-- governor snyder tweeted this out --- he says he'll propose 30 million dollars in repayment to flint residents. "there's no price you can put on what they've done to us." "he needs to answer this whole crisis in the manner that's equal to the gravity of it and not just one little piece at a time." families all over flint wanted congress to know how their lives have been forced to change. "i get two showers a week in mount morris that's what i get." melissa mayes brought her three sons all the way to d-c. her entire family has been poisoned. "we're all dealing with anemia, bone pain, bone breaking autoimmune disorders . and that's long after we stopped drinking."

"the cdc says they are developing guidelines for this that should be out in the near future. in the meantime the
